BOARDING BAR

Always EZ to reach – collapses with the pull of a quick-pin.

- Make cruising more fun: never have to crawl, wiggle or flop into or out of your dink again!
- Be comfortable “commuting” to shore from a mooring, and SAVE 75% of dock costs.

BASIC INSTALLATION TYPES

a) FLAT FIBERGLASS FLOOR

The legs arrive with floor hinges attached. The hinges are seated on fiberglass deck reinforcement plates and are easily fastened to the deck with the same technique used universally to install seats and consoles. They are permanently sealed with 3M’s 5200. With the legs up, the cross bar is secured on top. Pull the quick-pins and the bar collapses to the pontoons for EZ stowing.

b) SOFT FLOOR, V-FLOOR, PANEL FLOOR

A harness rail runs aft from a glue on pad amidships to the transom, hugging the pontoon. At that point it is attached to a tiny hinge with a quick-pin, allowing the harness rail to flex. Before the rail is pinned in place, the master hinge (with leg attached) slides onto the rail. It is positioned along the rail so that the the bar will rise at a comfortable distance from the transom, by tightening the clamp-bolts on the hinge. It can be moved at will by loosening, repositioning and retightening the clamp-bolts. The cross-bar is secured on top of the legs.

NOTE: POWER-STRUTS are recommended for all BOARDING BARS in regular use by persons 250 lbs or greater.

The quick-pins are removed from the aft attachment of the POWER-STRUTS, which allows the bar to fold down normally.

c) AFT LEANING POST – Cantilevered over the outboard and fixed to the transom, it uses up almost no floor space. It gives the helmsman the option to sit, relax and steer with the tiller or stand and carve his turns like a skier. A short tiller extension puts the tiller close at hand either way. The port leg is notched to let the tiller swing.
